Bleeding Ink Global Poetry Exchange Initiative (BIGPE)

is a creative writing platform that was conceived in the year 2020. Founder and director Mr. Bonface Otieno as a young poet and upcoming writer found it so hard as a young ambitious poet to find the right training, support, and platforms to showcase his writing skills and creative abilities. This was not only his misfortune but also of many other young African poets like him. This is what motivated the inception (BIGPE) and became a drive years later. this platform is an umbrella of poets across the globe that supports the creation of cultural assets to provide a space for dialogue and literary exchange. Poets all over the world through annual entry into poetry exchange come together in an egalitarian, non-commercial space for cultural exchange triggering debates, creativity, and innovation. This initiative objectively brings literature to more readers to ensure a means of facilitating lively conversations around the world and literature. In summary, Bleeding Ink Global Poetry Initiative is guided by the following general objectives:
To promote poetry exchange across the globe
To support member growth in the industry
To promote and appreciate the world’s diverse cultures.
To facilitate mentorship and consistent training for upcoming poets/writers
To provide a platform for upcoming creative writers
To facilitate research, critical reviews, and dissemination of literature on world’s emerging issues.
To publish and establish upcoming poets.
To promote the rebirth of productive education.
To promote a positive reading culture among learners, scholars, and the general society.

Special awards for the bleeding Ink Global Writers Society’s annual international poetry exchange for the year 2022.

Bleeding ink Global writers Society does not only take pride in shaping the future through literature but also member’s growth, stability and recognition. Writers ought to be treated with dignity and respect, they have for a long time proven to be the mirrors of the world whose lenses reflects a sand-grain of the society’s concerns.

Their contributions have led to a series of creations including policy development, research , political stability, socialization, entertainment among many others.

B.I.G W.S is set to promote an effective production, dissemination and consumption of literary materials through organised shared ideas among members from the global community.

In the year 2022, the society participated in a poetry exchange that attracted poets from across the globe, during which the poetry exchange allowed poets exhibit shared ideas on culture, contemporary trends and techniques through which poetry is perceived.

The program resulted into an anthology of poetry which is under editorial processes in preparation for it’s publication. Poems were selected from different writers that formed the poetry collection. Some enthusiastic, young, motivated writers proved to be more prolific as they submitted poems many enough to form a poetry collection. This enthusiasm also resulted to other titles under editorial process that upon publication will be attributed to the specific writers/contributers as the copyright authors.
